Old Vercel deployment links show 410? Pro deletes deployments after 30 days

The short answer

Vercel's changelog of October 9, 2026 says that on Pro, the deployment retention window changes to 30 days, and deployments older than 30 days are deleted starting October 23, 2026, unless you opt out in your retention settings before then. Your live site isn't affected: deployments with a production alias assigned are exceptions. A deleted deployment enters a recovery period, during which people opening its link see a 410 status code.

What to do

  1. To restore a deleted deployment, open your project's Settings, select Security, scroll to Recently Deleted, and choose Restore.
  2. Check your retention settings.
  3. Don't count on an old deployment for rollback until you've checked it still exists: deleted deployments cannot be used for rollback.

Good to know

  • Since October 16, 2026, the time to restore depends on the deployment's age when it was deleted. For deployments 30 days or older, it's 30 more days.
  • This change is for Pro teams. Hobby keeps its own rules.
  • Vercel's retention docs still list older Pro defaults. The changelogs are newer.
