Vercel Hobby deleted your old deployments? It keeps 3 production and 3 recent

The short answer

Vercel's changelog of September 16, 2026 says Hobby projects now retain fewer deployments past the 30-day retention window. Each Hobby project keeps its 3 most recent production deployments, plus its 3 most recent deployments of any type, regardless of age. Your current production deployment is still never deleted, and aliased and active-branch deployments are still protected, but preview deployments no longer get their own protection.

What to do

  1. Keep an eye on your Deployment Storage: Hobby teams get 10GB, and every deployment you keep uses some of it.
  2. Stay under the limit. Going over can block you from deploying until you free some up.
  3. Need more room? Vercel suggests optimizing your Deployment Storage, or upgrading to Pro, where storage is billed at $0.10 per GB per month.

Good to know

  • If your team is over the 10GB limit, deployments outside those exceptions are deleted immediately instead of after 30 days.
