Published your Replit app and the data is gone? Here's why

The short answer
When you publish on Replit, changes to your development database structure (tables, columns) are applied to production, but your test rows aren't copied. Copying development data is a choice you make when you publish, and Replit's advice is to do it only if that data is safe to use in your live app. The Agent can't modify your production database.
What to do
- Keep fake data in development.
- Only copy development data to production if it's safe to use in your live app.
- Let real users create real data.
