The short answer
Vercel's changelog of October 28, 2026: you can now query AI traffic in Vercel Observability to understand how AI bots are accessing your site. The AI Traffic tab shows requests from AI bots over time, broken down by AI crawlers that index or train on your content and AI assistants that fetch pages on behalf of a user.
What to do
- In the Vercel dashboard, open your project, then Observability, then AI Traffic.
- Look at the paths AI crawlers and AI assistants request the most, and the paths where AI bots received an error.
Good to know
- Observability is available on all plans. Querying these metrics with vercel metrics in the CLI requires Observability Plus, which is available on Pro and Enterprise teams.
- The tab also shows which paths AI bots request as Markdown.
- To control those bots, Vercel Firewall's managed rules can handle AI crawlers and AI assistants separately.
