The short answer
If your app sends from Resend's default onboarding@resend.dev address, Resend only delivers to the email address on your own Resend account. Resend's docs: "The resend.dev domain is only available for testing purposes". Everyone else gets a 403 validation_error that begins: "You can only send testing emails to your own email address". The fix is to add and verify a domain you control, then send from an address on it.
What to do
- In Resend's Domains page, add a domain you have DNS access to, and verify it with DNS records.
- Change your app's from address to an email on that domain, like hello@yourdomain.com.
- Send a test email to an address that isn't yours and check that it arrives.
Good to know
- Domain added but not verified yet? You get a different 403 until it is: "The domain.com domain is not verified. Please, add and verify your domain."
