The short answer
Replit Agent uses effort-based pricing: the price follows how complex the request is. Complex builds, like full features or integrations, are bundled into one checkpoint that may cost more than a simple request. You can set usage alerts and a budget limit in Account, Billing; Replit describes budget limits as hard caps to prevent unexpected charges.
What to do
- Open Account, Billing and set usage alerts and a budget limit.
- Ask for one feature at a time instead of everything in one prompt.
- Watch your usage page (replit.com/usage) as you build.
