Why is Bolt using so many tokens? Bigger project, bigger cost

The short answer
Bolt says most of your token usage comes from reading, understanding and syncing your project files, so larger projects use more tokens per message. The same kind of prompt costs more as your app grows. The free plan has a daily cap of 300K tokens and 1M tokens a month.
What to do
- Use Plan mode to think things through: it doesn't change your project, so it uses fewer tokens.
- Use buttons instead of prompts: the Publish button and Version History don't use tokens.
- Keep the project lean: delete unused files and split large ones.
Good to know
- Pro starts at $25 a month with 10M tokens, and unused paid tokens roll over. Free plan tokens don't.
