The short answer
Replit's update of October 23, 2026 introduced Monitoring Agent: Agent can investigate production issues using your app's logs and metrics, then attempt and validate fixes. Monitoring alerts, Auto-fix and Auto-republish are separate settings. With Auto-fix enabled, it investigates the alert and attempts and validates a fix, but it only publishes the fix with Auto-republish. Otherwise you review the result in Agent chat and republish yourself.
What to do
- Configure monitoring separately for each published app you want watched.
- Turn on Auto-fix if you want Agent to investigate alerts and attempt fixes, then review the result in Agent chat and republish yourself.
- Think twice before Auto-republish: it's experimental and requires Auto-fix, and some changes, including migrations and index operations, may be risky.
- Track spending on your usage page, since Monitoring Agent runs may incur Agent usage charges.
Good to know
- Replit's docs say an alert doesn't guarantee a fix: for example, an external service problem may require action outside your app.
