The short answer
Google Play's AI-Generated Content policy covers content "created by generative AI models based on user prompts". Apps that generate content using AI must let users "report or flag offensive content to developers without needing to exit the app". The page's examples include chatbots where chatting is a central feature of the app, and images or video generated by AI from text, image, or voice prompts.
What to do
- Add a Report button next to every AI answer, and save each report where you'll see it.
- Use those reports to improve your content filtering and moderation, as Google says developers should.
- Ask your AI tool: "Add a Report button to every AI response in this app. Save the report with the prompt and the response in a reports table, without leaving the app."
Good to know
- AI apps must also follow all existing Play policies, including preventing the generation of Restricted Content.
- The policy gives examples. It doesn't say whether one small AI feature in an otherwise ordinary app is covered.
