The short answer
If your app sends its emails through your Gmail account, they can all stop on a busy day. Gmail Help says you may see "You have reached a limit for sending mail" if you send more than 500 emails in a day, or one email to more than 500 recipients. Google says you should be able to send again within 1 to 24 hours. The fix is to send app emails through an email service on your own domain.
What to do
- Move your app's emails to an email service on your own domain, with its key kept on the server.
- Ask your AI tool: "Find where this app sends email. If it uses Gmail SMTP or an app password, move it to an email service with my own domain and keep the key on the server."
Good to know
- Google says app passwords "aren't recommended and are unnecessary in most cases", and changing your Google Account password revokes them.
- On Google Workspace, the daily sending limit is 2,000 messages per user account.
