The short answer
Check three things on Apple's renewal page. Membership renewal must be done by the Account Holder. How you renew depends on how you enrolled: on the Apple Developer website, or in the Apple Developer app, where your membership renews as an auto-renewable subscription. And changes like transferring the Account Holder role must be made after the renewal is complete.
What to do
- Make sure the Account Holder renews. On an organization's team, the Account Holder's contact information is in the Membership Information section of your account.
- Enrolled on the website? Use the Renew Membership button, starting 30 days before the expiration date or any time after it expires. In certain regions you can also turn on Auto-renew in Membership details.
- Enrolled in the Apple Developer app? It's paid with the default payment method of your iTunes and App Store account, so check that card.
- Need to transfer the Account Holder role or convert an individual membership to an organization? Do it after the renewal is complete.
Good to know
- Already expired? Your apps are no longer available for download until you renew, and paid apps return after you accept the Paid Applications Agreement in App Store Connect.
- Some developers on Apple's forums report that no Renew button appears at all. In that case, contact Apple Developer Support with your Team ID.
