The short answer

Vercel's changelog of November 2, 2026: Vercel MCP can now show your deployments as an interactive card inside ChatGPT and other chat clients that support MCP Apps. The card shows live deployment status, build logs, and source and commit details, with a Visit button once the deployment URL is ready. You can send logs into the chat to debug with the model. Vercel MCP is available on all plans.

What to do

  1. In ChatGPT, open Plugins and use the plus button to select Add custom MCP server.
  2. Name it Vercel, enter https://mcp.vercel.com as the server URL and select OAuth authentication.
  3. Review the connection warning, install the plugin, then type @ in a conversation and select Vercel.

  • Access depends on your ChatGPT workspace permissions and security restrictions.
  • Vercel's security advice: carefully review the permissions and data access levels of each agent and MCP tool.
  • Clients without app support receive the deployment state, preview URL and commit as text.
