The short answer
Vercel's changelog of October 22, 2026 says you can deploy apps to Vercel without an account using the Vercel CLI (vercel deploy --temporary). These temporary deployments use the dedicated tmp.now domain, separate from vercel.app, and expire after one hour unless claimed. Vercel Drop works the same way for static sites.
What to do
- Check whether your link ends in tmp.now.
- To keep the project live, open the claim link and sign in or create an account.
- If an AI coding tool ran the deploy for you, the claim link is in that command's output.
- Keep the claim link private. Vercel's changelog says: "Keep this link private."
Good to know
- Vercel Drop (since October 19, 2026): drag and drop a file, folder or ZIP to get a live URL. Deployments without an account expire after one hour unless you sign in and claim the project.
