The short answer

No. The Stripe Services Agreement prohibits testing in live mode using real payment method details. Test in a sandbox instead: those transactions don't move funds. Use test card 4242 4242 4242 4242 with a valid future date and any three-digit CVC.

What to do

  1. Run your checkout in a sandbox and pay with test card 4242 4242 4242 4242, any future date and any three-digit CVC.
  2. To test a failed payment, use 4000 0000 0000 0002: it gives a generic decline.
  3. Ask your AI tool: "Check which Stripe keys this app uses. Testing must use pk_test_ and sk_test_ keys, and live keys only in production."
