Out of Replit credits? Your published app can keep running (up to a limit)

The short answer

Replit's update of October 23, 2026 says eligible top-up customers can keep published apps running at zero credits, up to an overage limit. Paid Agent pauses, Free mode stays available, and warning emails arrive before suspension. New credits repay the overage first.

What to do

  1. Watch your email: Replit sends warning emails before anything is suspended.
  2. When you top up again, expect the new credits to repay the overage first.
  3. Want a hard stop instead? Set a service shutdown limit in the Manage limits dialog in Usage settings. When it's reached, services are suspended until the budget is increased or the next billing cycle begins.
  4. You can also turn on auto-reload to buy a new credit pack when your balance runs low.

Good to know

  • Replit's update doesn't say who counts as eligible or how big the overage limit is.
