The short answer
Lovable's website import rebuilds a website you own from its URL as a Lovable project you can edit in chat. Lovable reads only what visitors can see: the text, images, fonts, colors, spacing and layout. Lovable does not import logins, databases, or anything else that ran on the original site's server, and a form keeps its look but not what the original site did with the submissions.
What to do
- On your dashboard, click + and select Import project to Lovable, then Website (or Other platforms for Wix, Squarespace, Webflow or Framer).
- Paste the full address of the page, including https://. The page must be public.
- Confirm in the chat that you own the website or have the owner's permission to copy it.
- Add more pages in the same chat. One request adds up to 10 pages.
Good to know
- Import the home page first: the first page you import becomes the project's home page.
- A blog or store is a harder fit, because posts and products come in as fixed pages rather than records you can manage.
- Your first import is free, shared with project imports. After that, imports use credits.
