The short answer

Lovable uses one credit balance for building, for hosting your app's backend and for AI features in your app. At zero, the built-in backend pauses and AI features stop. Your pages stay up and your data stays safe, so the site loads, but anything that needs the backend, like logging in or saving, stops working.

What to do

  1. Keep an eye on your credit balance.
  2. On Pro or Business, turn on auto top-up.
  3. Real users on your app? Don't let the balance hit zero.
