The short answer

In Lovable, restoring a version brings back your code only. It doesn't roll back your database. So if the AI deleted rows or changed a table, going back in history won't bring them back.

What to do

  1. Before a big change, save a copy of your data, not just your code.
  2. Ask the AI to show you any database change before it runs it.
  3. Other tools can work the same way. Check your tool's docs.
