The short answer
It's probably not broken. Expo's free plan includes 15 Android and 15 iOS builds and uses the low-priority queue, and Expo's pricing page says that at peak times you may wait 90+ minutes, depending on demand. Free builds also have a 45-minute build timeout. Once you use your monthly quota of free builds, new builds are unavailable until the quota resets on the first day of the next calendar month.
What to do
- Used up your free builds? Wait for the reset on the first day of the next calendar month.
- To keep building without waiting for the reset, upgrade to the Starter plan or run builds locally.
- Starter: for $19 per month you get $45 of build credit to use for priority builds.
Good to know
- Free plan accounts do not incur overage charges.
- Expo gives the 90+ minute wait for peak times. It is not a typical wait.
