The short answer

No. Anthropic's help center says a paid Claude subscription doesn't include access to the Claude API or Console; they're separate products for different purposes. Your app needs an API key from the Claude Console, and API usage is paid for separately. Your Pro plan is for you, in the chat.

What to do

  1. Create an API key for your app in the Claude Console.
  2. Before you launch, make a workspace for your app and set a monthly spend limit on it. Limits can't be set on the Default Workspace.
