The short answer
On The X Subscription plans (from 12 Oct 2026), Cursor's pricing page says Premium and above include generous usage of Grok models but "do not include an allowance for third-party models." Third-party models, like Claude or GPT, remain available in Cursor at API list prices, billed separately through top-ups: you pay for exactly what you use. Plus ($8 a month) has Grok models only.
What to do
- Check which model your chats use in Cursor's model picker: Grok or not?
- Set a spending cap before you top up. Cursor's pricing page says you can set spending caps to manage costs.
- Then top up for the third-party usage you need.
Good to know
- Already on a current Cursor plan? The Cursor team's post says your included third-party usage continues until you switch.
- Claude and GPT are our examples: Cursor's pages say "third-party models" without naming providers.
- Prices and plans checked on 19 Oct 2026. They change: check the pricing page before you pay.
