The short answer
Bolt's release notes say that starting October 30, Bolt database keeps tables private by default, and your app will need explicit permissions to read or write information to the database. This applies to new database tables created after October 30, so existing databases aren't affected. When Bolt creates a new database, it should set up the right permissions for you.
What to do
- If you see a database permissions error in your project, it could be related to this change.
- Bolt's advice: ask Bolt to fix the table permissions.
- Ask Bolt: "My app shows a database permissions error. Check which tables were created after October 30, and give the app only the read and write permissions it needs on them. Don't make other data public."
Good to know
- Our tip: ask for only the permissions your app needs on those tables, rather than making everything readable by everyone.
