The short answer
Apple's App Review Guideline 4.8 says apps that use a third-party or social login service, such as Google Sign-In, to set up or authenticate the user's primary account must also offer another login service as an equivalent option. That option must limit data collection to the user's name and email address, let users keep their email address private, and not collect interactions with your app for advertising without consent. Apps that only use their own account setup and sign-in systems are an exception.
What to do
- Check your login screen: if Google or another social login sets up the user's main account, plan an equivalent second option.
- Check that option against all three points: only name and email, email can stay private, no ad tracking without consent.
- One example: Sign in with Apple lets people share a unique, random email address that relays to their own. Guideline 4.8 doesn't name a specific service, so check the three points for whatever you add.
