Sign in with Lovable button on your login page? What it does, how to remove it

The short answer

Lovable's changelog of October 15, 2026 says login pages that Lovable builds for an app with Lovable Cloud include Sign in with Lovable by default, alongside email and password sign-in and Google sign-in. Your app's users can sign in with their Lovable account, and Lovable registers the sign-in for your project with nothing to configure. Lovable's docs say any Lovable account can sign in, which matters if your app isn't meant for everyone.

What to do

  1. To switch it off in settings, open More, Users, Settings, Lovable, and turn off Enable sign in with Lovable. Or use the prompt below.
  2. Keep another sign-in method enabled: users who signed up with their Lovable account keep their accounts in your app and need another way to get back in.
  3. Ask Lovable: "Remove the sign in with Lovable button from my app."

  • To limit an app to your own workspace members, Lovable points to workspace identity reuse instead.
