The short answer
Since October 30, 2026, Lovable remembers the preferences, decisions, and facts you state as you build, and applies them in later conversations. Memory is enabled by default on all plans. Project memory is shared: everyone who can edit the project can read what it remembers about that project. Lovable's docs: keep personal data and other confidential information out of your messages.
What to do
- To see what Lovable remembers about a project, open More, Settings, Memory in the project.
- To change something, select the passage and click Change in chat. To remove one thing, ask Lovable in the chat to forget it.
- To stop it, set Memory for this project to Nothing. To keep your personal memory out of a workspace, turn off Use memory in Workspace settings, Memory.
Good to know
- Nothing: Lovable uses no memory in this project and stops saving new memory about it. Neither setting deletes what Lovable has already saved.
- If a memory would contain an API key, a token, or a password, Lovable removes the value, but it recognizes only values in a known secret format.
- Personal memory is yours. Other people on a project cannot read it.
