The short answer

Google is retiring Gemini 3.6 Flash (google/gemini-3.6-flash), so Lovable has marked it deprecated for your app's AI features, with a retirement date of November 19, 2026. Lovable's deprecated-models page says that after that date, requests go to Gemini 3.8 Flash. Your app keeps working without a code change, but the replacement can cost a different amount per request and can respond differently, and it isn't a model you chose.

What to do

  1. To see which model each AI request used, open More, then AI, in your project (AI activity), or ask Lovable in the chat.
  2. Lovable does not change the model in your app's code on its own, so switch it yourself.
  3. Ask Lovable: "Replace any deprecated AI models in this app with current ones."
