The short answer

Egress is everything your database and storage send out to users. The Free plan includes 5 GB. Pro includes 250 GB, then $0.09 per GB. The usual cause is asking for every column again and again, like checking for updates every few seconds.

What to do

  1. Select only the columns you need.
  2. Stop polling so often.
  3. Shrink big images. Then watch the usage page for a day.
